Today, like most days, I forgot my brain at home when I went to town. Unfortunately, I also forgot my wallet....still not sure why I took it out of my purse? Anyway, I noticed this while I was sitting in the grocery store parking lot. When I noticed, I forgot all about having a parrot for a 3 year old and yelled and exasperated "crap!"
Then Myka repeated it. "crap!"
Me: "Oh no! Myka, I shouldn't have said that...don't copy me."
Myka: "no mom, I said crap!"
Me: "I know, please don't say that, it's not a good word."
Myka: "no, I said crab! Like crab meat!"
Oh. Well that's ok then....
Oh, and another quick story, this one about Danica. She has started saying the word "what" a lot, and it can be SUPER cute.
Yesterday Aunty Angela was sitting in the living room and Danica came up to her and started chatting. Somewhere in the conversation she said, "Emett?"
Angela replied: "Emett? I don't know (looking around) I think he's in your room."
What followed was priceless and I'm not sure I can describe it in a way that will give it justice.
Danica, who had been looking down, looked up with a stone serious look on her face and said "WHAT." No question, just a very dramatic, poignant statement. She then took off running down the hall with her arms stiff at her side, leaving Angela and I holding back tears of laughter in the living room.
You probably had to be there. I wish I had been videoing!!! Aggh!
