These Girls Are The Best

I have been feeling uninspired to write lately. I was looking back in my blog, and noticed that I used to write actual stories about the girls, even if it wasn't a big event, I would just write about our day. At the time, I used to think that what I was writing was kind of lame, but now as I go back, I cherish every word and every picture. Sometimes I wish that I could go back to when Addison and Tegan were toddlers even for just a day!

And now, all four are growing up so incredibly fast! Just a couple of weeks ago Danica, the baby, turned two! Seriously, how did that happen! And as I write this, she is running around the house in Hello Kitty underwear....well on her way to making our house a diaper free home. Wow!

Here's a few things that have happened in our family in the last little while. Moments that I will one day print off the internet into a book filled with blog posts to give to each of my girls as a look back on their fleeting, wonderful childhoods.

Myka went from not being able to stand on skates to shuffling around the rink all by herself in less than two hours!  We're going to head back to the rink and practice more tomorrow :)

Danica knows where the good stuff is. Every time I take the KitchenAid off the shelf, she runs over breathlessly yelling, "help you mom! help yooooouuuu!!" while pushing a chair to the counter. And she's a great the time she's done helping, you can't even tell there was ever cookie batter on that mixing paddle!

Addison is seven (and a half), and is an awesome little girl. She even unloads and reloads the dishwasher for me now....which is the reason I had kids in the first place, so mission accomplished!
She is a great big sister too, and loves having tickle fights with Myka and Danica, or just carting Danica around on her back :)

We got a Vitamix blender last week, and Daniel has become the smoothie king! We all love tasting his latest smoothie creations :) Right before this photo was taken, Danica was having an emotional meltdown and I was at the end of my rope trying to deal with her. Daddy swooped in, and seconds later, all was peaceful again. He's such a good daddy :)

So much of the snow that we had at Christmas has melted already, thanks to some warm weather and super strong winds. However, some of the snowbanks are still huge and awesome for climbing! Myka and her friend Paisley were having fun climbing them while we waited for the girls' bus to arrive yesterday.

I snapped this one while we were waiting as well...isn't the sky breathtaking here? Oh, and that white house at the bottom is the house we are hoping to finish renovations on SOON :)

One of Myka and Danica's favourite activities during the week is Strong Start. I love it too because they get to do all of their messy, glittery and paint crafts there and it; 1: Keeps the mess out of my house, and 2: Relieves me of some of the guilt of not even wanting to do crafts like that at home!
It's a great way for us to get out of the house a couple times a week. They love playing with all of the toys and friends there!

This picture is from this morning! Tegan has lost both of her front teeth this week, and she is so excited :) I think she looks adorable as well. She is growing into such a pretty girl!!

Well, there's a little snapshot of what's been going on in our crazy life :) Today, Daniel is working unfortunately, so I think I'll take the girls to the pool. Should be fun!
